The redundancy is strong with this post. Today, I’m going to be talking about the importance of loyalty, trust, and the lack of both. Just because someone gains your trust doesn’t give them a lifetime pass. If they do something to lose your trust, there can be consequences and they may end up not only losing your trust, but also your respect. Decisions always result in consequences. Whether they’re good or bad depends on what path you choose. This morning, I saw a quote that said “Life is a like a mirror. When you smile at it, it smiles back. When you frown, it frowns back.” If you’re bitter and mean and hateful through...
Read MoreI truly believe that if you believe in yourself, you can find a way to make something possible. If you believe in your creativity and strengths, you can create a possibility. Sometimes it takes research and sometimes it just requires willpower and dedication. For example, if you decide you want to create a substance that will enable you to holographically project yourself in multiple places while you sit at home and watch a few screens showing what each of the projections sees, go ahead. Figure it out. Chances are good that either you can study holographics and videography and then (eventually) figure out a way to project yourself in multiple places at once....
Read MoreIn my 16 years of living, I have met thousands of people. Some of them, I bonded with. I like connecting with people. Relationships are very important to me. However, if someone is hurting me, no matter how much I care about them, that kind of behavior is unacceptable and won’t be tolerated. Okay, you have an orchid. One orchid. It is your very favorite orchid and you love it above all else. Someone comes up and waters your orchid with gasoline. Wow, rude. Well, maybe they’ll stop. Oh — no, they didn’t. It’s become a monthly thing…then weekly…then daily. What are you gonna do? Are you gonna be calm and invite...
Read MoreI’m stubborn and I like to think. Really, by “think” I mean dramatically over-analyze every detail of a situation until it’s suddenly so big that it’s distractingly problematic. I worry about a lot of things. I worry about what problems I could have, what people might think of me, how I’m gonna do on a test, how I’ll possibly survive college, what I’ll do when I get older, what I ate for breakfast last week, what I said on November 23, 2011, what I’m gonna blog about, how I haven’t written a proper post since March or so… Little things that I really shouldn’t be thinking about...
Read MoreSome people are saying that the 26th was historical. They say it was a huge moment and a giant step. I’m inclined to agree with them. Friday means movie night!! Okay but seriously… Yes, this whole marriage legalization for homosexual individuals is kind of a big deal. After all, it’s a pretty big change. As is custom with any decision, big or small, there will be people who are so excited that they absolutely don’t know what to do with themselves. There will also be people who are so completely against the choice who absolutely hate it. And let’s not forget the peoople who honestly just don’t care. So here’s the deal. I’m...
Read MoreAs I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, I’m not necessarily good at communicating and verbalization and peopling. So seeing a week of camp with lots of humans inch closer every minute sorta scared me to no end. For about three weeks. My apologies to anyone who tried to talk to my stressed out self. I was grumpy, sad, mopey, tired, sassy, and flat out not paying attention some of the time. However, after I got there…I was still terrible. Let’s be honest. I was still horrible and nervous and about as sociable as the napkin my skin resembles. I attempted a few conversations while playing basketball partially so I had a distraction, partially so I...
